What steps can we take to overcome our fears and move forward?
Jun 27, 2024Courage is being scared to death and saddling up anyway.

One of my favorite quotes and one I have relied on in many aspects of my life over the years.
The old saying in horses is when you fall off, get right back on. And I always have.
After getting hurt last summer when a horse flipped over on me, I got back on and rode as soon as I was out of the hospital and cleared to ride. I wasn’t really afraid then. I’ve ridden all my life and I knew what those horses would do.
But getting on colts and putting the first rides on them pushed me to release fears in my mind and body on a whole new level.
Of course I did a ton of preparation and ground work, but still had to take the steps.
And do it.
Fear is not really a liar as is so often said.
Fear helps keep you alive.
But if you let fear rule you, it blocks you from living your life.
Whether in business, relationships, school, family, personal health, you name it, take the courageous step and move into the fear.
Sure, prepare and do the work.
Be ready, but don’t wait forever.
Have confidence in yourself, your gut instinct and stay calm.
You know how to do it.
And even if you don’t, you’ll figure it out along the way.
Will it take work and time? Yep!
Will it be worth it? Absolutely!
Get out of your head and onto your feet.
One step at a time.
Saddle up!
You’ve got this!
