Slow Cooker Beef Roast

Ingredients:

  • 2 to 3 lb roast
  • dice up: Carrots, Onions, Celery, Rutabaga.
  • Salt
  • Pepper 
  • Garlic Powder
  • A couple Bay Leaves
  • All purpose herb seasoning (Salt free)
  • dash of Bragg's Aminos
  • Dash of Worcestershire sauce
  • dash of liquid smoke


Procedure:

  • Put spices/ seasonings on the meat in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  • Add veggies on top and pour broth (Beef or chicken) over everything until it just covers it all. 
  • Cook on high approx. 8 hours, until the meat is tender. 
  • Thicken juice once cooked if desired for gravy. Take a few cups of juice out, add to a saucepan with 2-3 tablespoons of arrowroot or cornstarch. Add starch slowly to hot juice as it boils gently and whisk it in to avoid lumps. simmer to thicken. Then add it back to the roast pot and blend in.
