Breaking Free from Societal Expectations: Embrace Your Shine

I looked up at the sky tonight and realized, wow!

We are all connected… in some way or another.

We all have so much to offer each other.

And how amazing to think each of us is uniquely designed for a specific purpose.

It may sound esoteric or far-fetched, but really think about it.

You are here for a reason.

And are you really making the most of each day?

This doesn’t mean you have to know the exact reason right now, or run 1000mph all day every day.

But here’s the thing, we only are promised today.

So did you do your best today to make a difference where you made connections?

After I got hurt last summer it was seriously a different kind of wake up call than ever before.

Kind of like, this is it!

You have another chance and you need to make each day really count. That could have been my last. But it wasn’t. And I’m not finished.

And neither are you.

Yet so often we believe we are told by society, a boss, a job, our past, etc. to be quiet, to go easy, not to make waves.

So we start to believe it.

And mute our passion because that’s what we think others think we should do.

No! No! No!

Each of us must shine, in or own way!

So brightly and in such a way that we light the way for others instead of blinding them.

It’s in me!

It’s in you!

Now it’s time to let it out.
