Don't Miss Out on the Moments That Make the Memories

S: What are you going to use this picture for Mom?

Me: I’ll probably post something inspiring or encouraging relating to our ranch. What do you think I should say?

S: Tell people to get on their horse and go for a ride some place pretty!

Well there you have it! From the horse’s mouth (pun intended)!

But really, I can’t say it enough.

Take the moments to enjoy your time with your kids.

Do you ever stop and look at them and say, “I can’t believe you are so grown up!”

Then the next thought is, “How did this happen so quickly?”

Be sure you can follow that with, “Oh yes, I know…

All those rides we took, all those trips to our favorite places, all those books we read, paintings we did, cows we moved, barrel races and Ropings we went to, berries and apples we picked, meals we cooked together, fishing trips we took, gardens we grew, songs we sang, crafts we made, campfires we sat around, and so much more.”

Those are the memories that make life.

It will be messy and pretty and everything in between, but make sure you’re there for it.

We only get one chance at each day.

Be the one who says, “I’m so glad I made the time.”

We all have a full plate.

Please don’t be so caught up in the busy that you miss the moments that make the memories.

The busy can wait and will always be there.

These moments won’t.
