From outside the door I heard a super excited voice calling: Mom!! You’ve got to see this!!

Sage had turned out her pony, then casually put the reins of the bridle around Pacú’s neck and led him to the round pen.

She proceeded to put on the bridle and then lead him out to the house and then the shop!

She was squealing with excitement.

This colt has never had a bridle even close to him before, nor has he been ridden at all yet. The plan is (was) to start him in a week or so once the ground softens up and the rest of the ice melts.

But he and Sage have other plans it looks like!

After leading him to the shop to show Daddy, who was equally as surprised, Sage led him to the round one and proceeded to get on him bareback, after getting him used to her up on the bucket.

If you don’t know this colt, he has been a real challenge, even to catch and be around, until recently.

But he and Sage have bonded and she can sense when it’s the right time.

She also has no unfounded fears.

She has discernment.

Such a beautiful reminder to us all that we can do whatever we put our mind to.

If we just decide and follow our intuition.
